“Get them inside, quickly,” Natalie Scott urged as another
explosion rocked the ground. “Come on, come on. Shut the doors! Hurry!” Four more
made it inside behind her before the emergency doors slammed shut and she
disengaged the automatic timer. Moving with great urgency, she rushed through
the next set of double doors, pulling an injured man with her.

Day 04: Something's Rotten

Day 03: Alive Inside
“Block the doors, hurry! Don’t let them get inside!” JC
Crystal shouted as he and Richard Dietrich pushed themselves against the doors. Veronica Meier shoved items in front of the entrance of
the Sheep Mart as more and more infected pushed from the outside. “The fridge!
Get that thing over here.”
Dominic Bryant kicked at the cord on the freezer as he moved
behind it. Ice cream shook inside the container as he thrust the large
appliance against the double doors. “Ok. That should hold them for now,” he
sighed, backing away.

Day 02: Infected
“Everyone get away from the windows!” Johnathan Young instructed
as the sound of screeching tires echoed through the walls. Another car joined
the pile of twisted metal on the end of the highway in a large fireball that
lit up the sky. Countless residents wandered the streets, screaming and running
from other townies that appeared injured and disoriented. They were attacking
without provocation; biting and scratching innocent bystanders and tearing
through car windows and front doors.
“They’re insane!” Liz Parnell shrieked as she stood up from
her favorite corner booth and moved closer to the action. “All of them! Look at
their eyes! They’re like animals.”

Day 01: Welcome to Cabot Creek
“Call me crazy, Kat, but I don’t think you’re going to need
40 pairs of socks in Los Aniegos. This is a vacation, we’re not staying forever,”
Josh Mojica teased as he watched his cousin frantically trying to stuff her
entire wardrobe into one suitcase. “Hey, wait a second, isn’t that my Celtic
snake?” he asked, snatching the necklace from the front pocket of her bag.
“I’ve been looking everywhere for this!”
“Oh yeah. I…um…I found it,” Katrina Jordan replied, looking
away from his accusatory glare.
“Really?”
“Yes, really!”
“Ok. Where?”

Epilogue: Times Gone By
Who says true love is a fairy tale? Thanks to Disney the story of a handsome prince sweeping in to rescue the fair maiden or damsel in distress has become the ideal romance for many young girls. But me? I never thought it was possible nor did I expect that it would happen to me. I lived my life in a shell, hiding from the outside world, too afraid to open myself up because of past experiences. But six years ago one opportune New Year’s Eve party changed all that.
